2009 MSSA Council Awards
At the AGM the MSSA Council awarded the following awards to two very deserving recipients.

The awards and the recipients are:

SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD:  Dominic Aphane (Wits).

Dominic won the sportsmanship award at the Free State Championships in September 2009. His courteous manner and focus always makes him one of the favourites for any sportsmanship award made at a provincial championships.

BEST NEWCOMER: Xola Magwaza (Knights Mindsports Club).

In the first year of being a registered player, Xola has quickly risen in the ranks to be selected to represent South Africa at the IeSF Challenge. However, it is not just Xola's dedication to the game that must be commended, but his overall attitude as he takes his competition seriously - very seriously. Like all previous recipients of this award, we expect big things from Xola.
